the requirements for admission to ICI include the following:
- Evidence of proficiency in English.
- student’s registration shall take place in first two weeks of the academic year. there will be no registration there after.
- six credit in MSCE examination including English or its equivalent and an aggregate of not more 30 points.
- students holding less than six credits may be admitted as free auditors but may not take exams and will be given only a certificate of attendance which cannot be used to pursue further studies.
- a letter of financial assurance from the candidate’s superior, parents, guardians, employers or sponsoring agents.
- a letter of recommendation from a religious leader( or rector for those coming from seminaries/tertiary institutions).
- for off campus students : in addition to the above, an application letter, a reference letter/form , a recent medical report, a police clearance and immigration permit (for foreigners) a non refundable fee of Mk 10,000.00
- prospective students holding relevant transcripts in philosophy of other tertiary institutions or seminaries will be requested to do at least two academic years and be enrolled as full time students.
- only grades of 50% and above may be accepted for the diploma and degree programme.
- Marks scored in other institutions will considered based on the ICI grading system only.
- such students will be required to write and submit a research proposal and dissertation and make the viva vice presentation at the end of tgramme
